Third Street Ministries will distribute free clothing to the homeless and low-income residents today from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and July 11 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the parking lot between Second Street and Third Street. The parking lot is behind Good Neighbor Ministries on Second Street, across from the bus station.

Restoration Lindale Inc. will host a free Independence Day Festival with arts and crafts vendors today from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on South First Street in Lindale. A community rock hunt will take place during the festival. Parking is available at Gilbreath Recreation Center, 106 Garden Ave. Parade lineup will be at 9:30 a.m. at Pepperell Primary with parade at 10 a.m.

Summerville Main Street will host an Independence Day celebration today from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Activities include a picnic, fried apple pie contest, patriotic balloon release and the arrival of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum Passenger Train. The City of Summerville will continue the celebration at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center at 6 p.m. today. Activities include free water slides, free sliced watermelon, sack race, concerts, corn hole tournament and fireworks. Attendees can access the festival at the entrance of Summerville Middle School, 34 Middle School Road, Summerville. The Cave Spring Activities Committee and the Downtown Development Authority will present live music and fireworks today starting at noon in downtown Cave Spring. Fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m. A rain date is set for Monday at 9:30 p.m.
