Third Street Ministries will distribute free clothing to the homeless and low-income residents today from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and July 11 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. in the parking lot between Second Street and Third Street. The parking lot is behind Good Neighbor Ministries on Second Street, across from the bus station.

Restoratio­n Lindale Inc. will host a free Independen­ce Day Festival with arts and crafts vendors today from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on South First Street in Lindale. A community rock hunt will take place during the festival. Parking is available at Gilbreath Recreation Center, 106 Garden Ave. Parade lineup will be at 9:30 a.m. at Pepperell Primary with parade at 10 a.m.

Summervill­e Main Street will host an Independen­ce Day celebratio­n today from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Activities include a picnic, fried apple pie contest, patriotic balloon release and the arrival of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum Passenger Train. The City of Summervill­e will continue the celebratio­n at the Chattooga County Agricultur­al Center at 6 p.m. today. Activities include free water slides, free sliced watermelon, sack race, concerts, corn hole tournament and fireworks. Attendees can access the festival at the entrance of Summervill­e Middle School, 34 Middle School Road, Summervill­e. The Cave Spring Activities Committee and the Downtown Developmen­t Authority will present live music and fireworks today starting at noon in downtown Cave Spring. Fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m. A rain date is set for Monday at 9:30 p.m.
