Ryan Joseph Lindsey Funeral services for Ryan Joseph Lindsey, age 30, of Cave Spring, who died Saturday evening, will be held this evening at 7 p.m. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel.

Interment services for Ryan will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the graveside of the Cave Spring Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour.

Rev. Ernest Carl Anthony Rev. Ernest Carl Anthony, age 74, of Silver Creek, passed away Saturday July 1, 2017, in a local hospital.

Rev. Anthony was born September 20, 1942, in Centre, Alabama, a son of the late William Carl Anthony, and Ilar Gossett Anthony. He was the former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Gaylesvill­e, Gaylesvill­e, Alabama, he also used to sing in the Gospel Trio, Higher Praise. He was retired from Bekaert Steel. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin, Buford, James, and John Anthony, sisters, Barbara Anthony, and Dorothy Haggard.

Survivors include his wife Betty Joyce Pierce Anthony, daughter, Lori Anne Anthony Stewart, Silver Creek; granddaugh­ter, Malinda Jane Stewart, Silver Creek; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. (Ga. Time) Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Harold Ingram, officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, in Broomtown, Ala. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. (Ga. Time) on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearer­s include the following gentlemen, Dewayne Gregg, Caleb Gregg, Larry Pettyjohn, Joseph B. Pierce, Mark Davenport, Benny Davenport, Jody Smith, and Steve Stewart.

Charles William Martin Charles William, “Boy,” Martin, age 71, of Kingston, Ga., passed away Monday morning, July 3, 2017, in a local hospital.

A native of Rome and Floyd County, Charles was born on June 18, 1946, the son of the late Charles Lewis Martin and Beatrice Rose Martin. He was associated with Galey and Lord of Shannon, Ga., for a number of years until their closing. Charles retired in 2008 from Evans Constructi­on then worked part time with the Floyd County Public Works. He enjoyed cattle farming in his early years, was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. Charles is survived by his wife, Gail Graves Martin, whom he married on June 9, 2001; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy “Angie” and Ronald Dickerson of Adairsvill­e, Ga., Misti and Thom Mobbs of Armuchee, Ga., and Christie and Richard Hutchins of Adairsvill­e; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lewis “Chad” Martin, II, and his wife, Rhonda, of Kingston; three step-daughters, Kimberly Ray of Rome, Angela Watson and Misty Rayburn, both of Coosa, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Paige Martin of Kingston; two sisters-and brothers-in-law, Linda and Marvin Lingerfelt and Nancy and Ray Perry, all of Rome. Thirteen grandchild­ren, nine great-grandchild­ren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Carl Sidwell Chapel of Salmon Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Cowart officiatin­g. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Charles’ family will receive friends at Salmon Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Salmon Funeral Home.
