ROME-FLOYD YMCA CAMP SCHEDULE

The YMCA of Rome and Floyd County is now taking registrati­ons for summer camps:

Kinder Camp is designed especially for the younger child, ages 3 to 5. Your child will enjoy a full day of adventure at the YMCA. A limited number of half-day spaces — 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. — are available. Swim lessons in the YMCA pool include water safety and the basics of swimming. Other activities include arts and crafts, supervised play time and field trips. For a YMCA member, camp fees for a one-week session are $47 for a half day or $85 for a full day. Nonmembers pay $67 for a half day or $110 for a full day.

Day Camp is intended for children ages 6 to 12. YMCA Camp Bryant is the home for campers during the day. Camp Bryant includes a pavilion, a restroom building, an archery range, playing fields and nature trails. We also have daily free swim in the YMCA pool. Day Camp fees, per oneweek session, are $85 for members and $110 for nonmembers.

Kinder and Day Camp session dates:

There is no camp on Memorial Day or July Fourth; prorated fees are $68 for members and $88 for nonmembers.

Session 7: Monday and July 5; Session 8: July 1014; Session 9: July 17-21; Session 10: July 24-28.

Camps begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. daily. Free early drop-off begins at 7:30 a.m. and late pickup is until 5:45 p.m. Bring a bathing suit and a towel. Day campers should bring a frozen water bottle. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for most days. Financial aid is available for those who demonstrat­e a need.
