Georgia Northweste­rn Technical College Youth

Success Academy is offering free TIG- and MIG-welding classes for eligible 18-24-year-olds starting Monday at 8 a.m. Welding equipment, boots and a transporta­tion stipend will be provided. Participan­ts will receive both a TIG- and MIG-welding certificat­e upon completion of the course, and they will be eligible for on-the-job training. Sand Springs Church,

Sand Springs Road, Texas Valley, will hold its annual cemetery and church cleaning Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Bring lawn equipment, household cleaning supplies, and insect spray or a covered dish and drinks. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided. Workers will eat dinner on the grounds following the cleanup.
