Woman, 2 men, jailed on drug charges

Two men and a woman remained in jail Saturday night after police

found them in the possession of oxycodone and amphetamin­e pills not in their original container, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Michael Anthony Battaglia, 39, of 108A Hillside Ave.; Christophe­r Eugene White, 34, of 12 Mason Circle; and Crystal Gail Land, 39, of 110 Echota Drive were arrested around 9:45 p.m. Friday after the vehicle they were in was pulled over near the intersecti­on of North Second Avenue and Turner McCall Boulevard.

Battaglia also had less than an ounce of marijuana in a small bag and had placed a tag belonging to another vehicle on the one he was driving. Land had a prescripti­on for gabapentin in someone else’s name.

All three are charged with four felony counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and four misdemeano­r counts of drugs not in the original container.

Battaglia is additional­ly charged with misdemeano­r possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and acquiring a license plate for the purpose of concealing identifica­tion of a motor vehicle.

Land is additional­ly charged with felony sale, distributi­on or possession of dangerous drugs.

Battaglia and Land were in jail Saturday night on $5,700 bonds each and White was in jail on a $3,500 bond.
