FCSO’s Glass named Employee of the Quarter
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce Sergeant Mitch Glass as its Employee of the Quarter for the Second Quarter, 2017.
With 22 years of dedicated service, Sgt. Glass is being recognized for exemplary performance, teamwork, innovative thinking, motivation and attitude.
Mitch Glass has been employed since 1995 and is admired and respected by fellow employees. He is quick to respond and always goes that “extra mile” to ensure the safety and security of inmates and the wellbeing of his employees.
In addition, Glass was nominated by his peers for his passion for work, professionalism and mentorship of others. Glass is also known for his expeditious communication and assistance when someone is in need. As one nominator explained, “Mitch is an embodiment of the intelligence, dedication and commitment to service that represents the Sheriff’s office’s best.” Many throughout FCSO would agree.
Sergeant Glass can always be trusted to exceed the expectations we require, striving to be “Positive in Our Community,” and we are very proud to have Mitch Glass as a member of our Floyd County Team.
Sergeant Glass has been employed with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office since March 7, 1995 and is certified as a Jail Officer, Deputy Sheriff. Sergeant Glass has worked in various capacities within the Office of the Sheriff to include Jail Officer in Jail Operations Division, and a Deputy and Corporal in the Field Services Division. In the past, Sergeant Glass has been awarded Employee of the Month 2010 as well as a Shining Star Award in 2016.
