The Rome Braves will host Shrine Night on Thursday at State Mutual Stadium, 755 Braves Blvd. There will be a Shrine Parade around the field at 6 p.m. and opening ceremonies by children from the Shriners Hospital in Atlanta. The Shriners will be collecting donations for the Shriners Hospital with all donations to be matched by the Rome Braves. Checks may be made out to the Shriners Hospital and dated 8-17-17.

Third Friday Night Cruise-In will hold its antique and classic vehicle cruise-in Friday at 6 p.m. at the East Rome Burger King, 1323 Turner McCall Blvd. Cruise-ins are held the third Friday of every month. Johnson Elementary School will host a free movie night Friday at 7 p.m. The movie will be “Boss Baby.” Fuddrucker­s will be on location and a concession stand will be available.

The 45th annual Armuchee Labor Day Bluegrass Festival will be held Aug. 31-Sept. 3 at Armuchee Music Park, 899 Turkey Mountain Road. Phyllis Cole of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame will emcee. The festivitie­s will begin at 6 p.m. on Aug. 31, 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 1 and 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 2. A worship service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 3. Three-day passes are $21 each. The Rome Internatio­nal Film Festival will host a free workshop on the local film festival experience Aug. 31 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the RomeFloyd County Library, 205 Riverside Parkway. Volunteers will share tips for enjoying the film festival, answer questions, and screen an animated film and clips from two Georgia-made films. A second workshop will be held Oct. 10.

Registrati­on for the 22nd annual Coosa Valley Trout Unlimited Chili Cook-off will open Sept. 1. Visit www. coosavalle­y.tu.org to register. Registrati­on is $50. The Cave Spring Mushroom Club will host the Cave Spring Mushroom Festival on Sept. 23 at Rolater Park, Cave Spring, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. as part of Heritage Days Weekend.
