Tickets available for Corey Smith at The Forum Friday
Georgia native and country artist Corey Smith brings his Great Wide Underground Tour to The Forum River Center on Friday.
Smith released his most recent album, “While the Gettin’ is Good” in 2015.
Smith released his first self-produced album in 2003 and nine subsequent albums have been produced through independent labels. “While the Gettin’ Is Good” was produced by Keith Stegall on Sugar Hill Records.
“When my fans show up and buy a ticket and a T-shirt, they’re investing in what I’m doing,” Smith said via his web site. “It’s my responsibility to invest it wisely and give them the best album I can. That’s what led me to ‘While The Gettin’ Is Good’.”
Nashville-based singer and songwriter Jacob Powell will open the show which begins at 8 p.m. on Friday. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Powell, a Lawrenceberg, Tennessee native will open the show. The country/ Southern rock singersongwriter premiered his first video, “Koozie” in 2013 as well as his first EP on SONY/ATV. Most recently, Powell has headlined his own “Put It In a Koozie” tour along with Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels Band, Chris Cagle and Steel Magnolia.
