3 jailed on drug charges after wreck
Two men and a woman remained in jail without bond Friday night after police found them with a load of meth following a one-vehicle wreck, reports stated.
According to Floyd County Jail reports:
Barry Keith Shedd, 45, of 122 Hawthorne St., Lindale; Bobby Joe Pope, 31, of 311 Waddell St.; and Shirley Michelle Davenport, 31, also of 311 Waddell St., were arrested between 4:55 and 5:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Old Cedartown Highway.
Police found a syringe with meth in it on Shedd, along with a black bag containing 28 grams of the packaged drug and about an ounce of marijuana. The bag had an ID of his in it. Also inside the bag were small plastic bags, digital scales and syringes.
Pope had more than four grams of meth on him. Davenport additionally had over an ounce of meth and less than an ounce of marijuana.
All three are charged with felony possession of meth with intent to distribute; trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or meth; and possession of meth.
Shedd is additionally charged with felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, three counts; purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana, two counts; and misdemeanor drugs not in original container.
Davenport is additionally charged with misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
