- Greenville, South Carolina Martha House Lovett

Martha House Lovett, 78, beloved mother of Beth Lovett and Kristy Lovett Leonard, passed away Wednesday, August 23, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born in Atlanta, Ga., and formerly of Rome, Ga., Mrs. Lovett was the daughter of the late Jacob and Sarah House. She spent the majority of her career with BellSouth/AT&T and also served on staff at First Baptist Church of Cave Spring. She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmothe­r.

She leaves behind two daughters, Beth Lovett, and Kristy Leonard, and her husband, Derek, all of Spartanbur­g, and three grandsons, Spencer, Reagan, and Jake. She was the oldest of three children and is survived by her sister, Ann House Collins (Milford), and brother, Carlton House (Thelma). A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in the Chapel at First Baptist Church, Spartanbur­g. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to either of the following charities, American Lung Associatio­n or the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n. TODAY
