The Floyd County Farmers Market at Ridge Ferry Park will be open this morning. It will run every Saturday and Wednesday from 7 to 11:30 a.m., ending on Oct. 7. Items for sale will include fresh vegetables, canned goods, jellies and jams, and craft items. The cost for vendors is $7 per space, which is due upon arrival. Floyd County Master Gardeners will present a free community “Decorating for the Holidays” workshop today at 10 a.m. at Chieftains Museum, 501 Riverside Parkway. The Blue Devil Duck Dash will be held Sept. 23 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. Proceeds will benefit the Model Elementary School Positive Behavior in Students program. Those who register by the Sunday deadline will receive a free T-shirt. The race is a 3.1-mile obstacle course. Rain or shine.
