BEAA THREE-PERSON SCRAMBLE GOLF TOURNAMENT — BEAA Golf Course will host a three-person scramble tournament, sponsored by the Pepperell High School golf teams, Sept. 23. The fee is $210 per team, which includes mulligans. There will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Flights will be determined depending on the number of teams that enter. PRESCHOOL SOCCER CLASSES — Rome YMCA Arsenal is presenting Lil’ Gunners preschool soccer classes this fall. Each session introduces soccer through games and activities. The last session of four classes will begin Oct. 12. The cost is $25 for YMCA members and $40 for non-members, and includes a team shirt and medal. HARBIN HERO HUSTLE 5K — The 2017 Harbin Hero Hustle 5K Race and Two-Mile Health Walk is set for Oct. 14 in downtown Rome. Online registrati­on costs $25 for the 5K and $20 for the walk. Race-day registrati­on costs $30 for the 5K. During online registrati­on and race-day registrati­on, registrant­s can select one of five charities to support, Rome Floyd YMCA, Summit Quest, Floyd County CASA, The Sweet Cocoon and Living Proof Recovery. ALZHEIMER’S WALK — The Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Oct. 21 at 9 a.m. at State Mutual Stadium. Walk participan­ts will complete a twomile walk and learn about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunit­ies, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services from the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.
