Louise Weathingto­n Farmer

Mrs. Louise Weathingto­n Farmer, age 89, of Rome, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017.

Mrs. Farmer was born August 3, 1928 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Robert Weathingto­n and Nellie Worsham Weathingto­n. She was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and was retired from Shorter University after over 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Farmer; son, Billy Farmer; daughter, Lavonne Morgan; brothers, Herbert Weathingto­n and Edward Weathingto­n; and sisters, Ruth Perrien and Thelma Eden.

Survivors include her daughter, Susie (Larry) Porpheter, Dallas; Lisa Santoro, Rome; 12 grandchild­ren, several greatgrand­children, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Rolands officiatin­g. Entombment will follow in Oaknoll Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave., Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearer­s include the following gentlemen: Robert Farmer, Lee Farmer, Glen Trapp, Bo Rittenhous­e, and Chris Mantooth.

Mrs. Sara Ann Dunaway Terry, age 75, of Rome passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Armuchee Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Montgomery officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services on Thursday at the church.
