The Georgia Department of Correction­s will be hosting a hiring event in the Building A auditorium at Georgia Northweste­rn Technical College, 1 Maurice Culberson Drive, on Thursday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The department is hiring correction­al officers for Hays State Prison in Summervill­e. There will be onsite interviews, PT and Accuplacer testing. Eligible candidates will receive a hiring package on the same day. The Pepperell High School Class of 1967 50-Year Reunion will be held Friday and Saturday.
