ROCKMART (1-2) AT ARMUCHEE (1-2)

-

7:30 p.m. Rockmart

LAST MEETING: Sept. 16, 2016; Rockmart won 62-6

The Armuchee Indians are looking to make a statement as they open Region 7-AA play against Rockmart. The Jackets have shown they have the speed and skill on offense to make things happen this season despite their losing record. Armuchee has yet to get out to a good start in a game and to do that against Rockmart will be hard for the Indians. RN-T PICK: Rockmart by 21

LAST MEETING: Sept. 16, 2016; Chattooga won 48-14

A 14-0 loss at Mt. Zion last week should show just how much improved this Coosa team is compared to last year. Chattooga is still finding it hard to gain traction on offense as the Indians look for offensive consistency. Little Big Horn is not the easiest place to play for a visiting team, but Coosa has the right mix of chemistry and experience to bring back a win. RN-T PICK: Coosa by 7

LAST MEETING: Sept. 16, 2016; Pepperell won 69-0

Pepperell’s first game at Dragon Stadium last week provided some tough lessons for coach Rick Hurst and his players in a 42-10 loss to Cedartown. They’ll face a Gordon Central team coming off a close loss to LaFayette that is looking to end an 18-game losing streak. The Dragons are at home and still have some very good athletes to support a true home win. RN-T PICK: Pepperell by 21

LAST MEETING: Sept. 16, 2016; Model won 35-13

A battle for renewed momentum will take place tonight in the northeast corner of Georgia. Model is hoping to find its groove in the region part of the schedule after another game of miscues and mistakes last week. Dade County had a bye week to heal up and evaluate its start to the season. The Wolverines have some positives to build on. RN-T PICK: Dade County by 14
