2 women accused of fight with gun, hammer
The neighbors are in jail without bond after a fight at Callier Forest Apartments.
Two neighbors who reportedly got into a fight at Callier Forest Apartments were in jail without bond Sunday night.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Jessica Noel Jackson, 30, and Wanda Jean Chambers, 52, who live in separate apartments in the E Building of the apartment complex, 131 Dodd Blvd., were arrested Saturday night following an argument.
Police say Chambers tried to hit Jackson with a hammer and Jackson brandished a handgun and threatened to kill Chambers. Jackson also refused police orders to get on the ground and was forced down.
Chambers was being held on a felony aggravated assault charge.
Jackson is charged with felony aggravated assault and the misdemeanors obstruction of an officer, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of dangerous drugs, drugs not kept in the original container and simple battery.
charges of speeding, attempting to elude a police officer, failure to maintain a lane, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, giving false identification to police and driving on a revoked license.
Clarence Cornelius Neal Jr., 21, of 13 Landrum Place, had no bond Sunday on felony warrants charging him with having two guns and nearly 4 ounces of marijuana on July 20, 2016.
Neal is charged with two probation violations, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of marijuana, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, giving a false name, address or birthdate to police and littering.
