What is the primary purpose of your business?
To give good service and have our clients satisfied.
What is the business background of the owners?
Since 2003. I started my own business in South Carolina. With time, I’ve gained experience and I’ve bettered my work.
Why did you start (or purchase) this particular business?
I purchased this business because I moved to the State of Georgia and I liked the city of Rome. I felt it was a nice business to invest time and money on.
What makes your business unique?
It has a grand variety of products. We have a meat department where we sell fresh pork, steak, seafood and chicken. We also have many products from Mexico and Central America. We have a very well sorted fruit and vegetable department. We have a restaurant inside the supermarket with great food and service. We also sell snow cones and ice cream made with natural fruit. They are super good and a must try.
What do you enjoy most about your chosen profession?
I enjoy learning about other people’s culture. With the great variety of products we have, there is a lot of people from different countries that come shop at the supermarket.
What has been the biggest or most interesting challenge to overcome as a small business owner?
I would say that the biggest challenge I had to overcome was being a woman and making my business happen on my own. There are still many male chauvinists who think that women cannot overcome things without a man’s help or guidance.
