Third Street Ministries will be giving away free fall clothing to homeless and low-income residents of Rome and Floyd County in the parking lot of Rome First United Methodist Church on Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. The parking lot is between Second Street and Third Street behind Good Neighbor Ministries.

The Greystone Apartments, 90 E. Chieftains Museum will hold its fall plant sale through Oct. 13. The sale includes evergreens, shrubs, trees and perennials of several varieties. The Georgia Northweste­rn Technical College horticultu­re program is holding a fall mum sale outside Building L at the campus, 1 Maurice Culberson Drive, throughout the month of September from 9 a.m.3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 3-7 p.m. on Thursdays and from 9 a.m.-noon on Fridays. The American Red Cross and Sport Clips Haircuts are offering free haircuts to blood or platelet donors who give during September. Donors will receive a coupon for a free haircut via email several days after their donation. The coupon is valid through Nov. 11 at participat­ing Sport Clips locations. The Floyd County Farmers Market at Ridge Ferry Park will run

every Saturday and Wednesday from 7 to 11:30 a.m., ending on Oct. 7. Items for sale will include fresh vegetables, canned goods, jellies and jams, and craft items.
