Report: Aragon man hits, threatens to kill woman

The man is charged with felony terroristi­c threats and acts under the Family Violence Act.

An Aragon man who vowed to kill a woman if he went to jail was being held without bond Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Jason Edward Buffington, 38, of 3289 Wax Road in Aragon, was arrested at an apartment complex in Rome Sunday night and charged with felony terroristi­c threats and acts under the Family Violence Act. He’s also facing a misdemeano­r charge of simple battery under the FVA.

Buffington is accused of hitting a woman in the face, leaving visible marks, and vowing to kill her when he gets out of jail.

Shannon man reports to jail on assault warrant

A Shannon man arrested on a felony assault warrant was in jail without bond Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Dakota Edward Johnson, 19, of 115 Third St. in Shannon, turned himself in at the jail over the weekend. He was being held on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeano­r false imprisonme­nt.

Police: Rome man threatened to break woman’s neck

A Rome man accused of threatenin­g to break a woman’s neck was in jail without bond on Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Cody Lee Little, 24, of 818 Ausburn Lane, was arrested at his home Sunday afternoon after he threatened to choke a woman and break her neck.

Little is facing a felony charge of terroristi­c threats and acts under the Family Violence Act and a felony probation violation.

No bond set for Rome man charged with assault

A Rome man charged with aggravated assault was being held in jail without bond Monday.

According to Floyd County Jail records: Martino Randolph King, 31, of 6 Butler St., was arrested Saturday by Floyd County police.

King is charged with felony aggravated assault, terroristi­c threats and acts, simple assault and simple battery.

Rome woman jailed on drug, child support charges

A Rome woman arrested Monday on a felony drug charge is required to pay the child support she owes before she is released from jail.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Angela Lynn Bray, 45, whose address is listed as Room 210 of the FairBridge Inn Express, 1318 Martha Berry Blvd., was arrested in her room early Monday morning and charged with felony possession of methamphet­amine.

Bray is accused of having a clear bag with meth and a glass pipe with meth residue.

Her bond was set at $3,500. However, she’s also facing a felony contempt of Superior Court charge on a child support warrant and was ordered to make a $3,000 purge payment.
