Lo­cal fra­ter­nity chap­ter earns national awards

The Theta Psi Chap­ter at Shorter Univer­sity earned its fourth Pyra­mid of Ex­cel­lence award this past sum­mer along with an aca­demic sus­tain­abil­ity award at the Delta Sigma Phi national con­ven­tion in Bal­ti­more.

The national fra­ter­nity gives seven Pyra­mid of Ex­cel­lence awards for 106 chap­ters na­tion­wide. In or­der to win this award, the chap­ter must ex­cel in ar­eas such as phi­lan­thropy, new mem­ber devel­op­ment and fi­nances. The chap­ter was also rec­og­nized with the Aca­demic Sus­tain­abil­ity Award for high GPA av­er­ages among mem­bers.

The chap­ter was founded at Shorter in 2008 and cur­rently has 24 mem­bers.
