Ruby Louise Dozier Hixon Sanford,

David Wayne Jones Sr., age 59, of Rome, died Tuesday afternoon, October 10, 2017, at his residence.

A native of Rome, David was born May 23, 1958, son of the late Grady and Bessie Jackson Jones. Prior to becoming disabled, he was a laborer. He was an avid golfer and true jack-of-alltrades.

Survivors include two sons, David Wayne “Burt” Jones Jr., of Rome, and Stevie Smallwood, of Silver Creek; two daughters, Kelly Jones, of Rome, and Angela “Dawn” Hernandez, of Sioux City, Iowa; sisters, Barbara Jones, of Rome, Carla Minge, of Cedartown, and Geraldine Johnston, of Alabama, along with twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, in the Chapel of Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Avenue, with the Reverend Donald Lindsey officiating. Terry Lee Money

Terry Lee Money, 51, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at a local hospital.

Terry was born in Rome on April 11, 1966, the son of Larry Money Sr. and the late Elizabeth Walters Money. He was self-employed in the construction business and loved riding his motorcycle. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Land Money; two daughters, Brittany Money (Tom) and Lacey Money (Josh); his father, Larry Money Sr., Rome; two grandchildren, Matthew Wright and Brileigh Wright; brothers, Larry Money Jr., (Dawn), Rome, and Jackie Money (Heather), St. Pete Beach, Fla.; sister, Tina Johnson, Rome; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate his life and receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 1 until 3 p.m.

Ruby Louise Dozier Hixon Sanford

Mrs. Ruby Louise Dozier Hixon Sanford, 87 years old, of the Gore Community, Summerville, Ga., passed away on October 9, 2017.

Services for Mrs. Sanford will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 265 Oak Hill Road, Summerville, Georgia, 30747 with Pastor George Beavers officiating. Interment will follow the services in Oak Hill Cemetery.
