Hospitalit­y House will hold a candleligh­t vigil to honor victims and survivors of domestic violence Thursday at Rotary Plaza in downtown Rome at 6 p.m. The event will include a survivor speaker, live music and lantern release.

Southeaste­rn Mills and the YMCA will present Boofest at Grizzard Park, 1170 Turner Chapel Road, on Friday from 6-9 p.m. Activities include a trick or treat village, hay rides and train rides, games, bounce house, monster mash dance, haunted house and storytelli­ng. Food and drink will be available for purchase. A limited number of armbands will be for sale at the YMCA, 810 Second Ave., for $5 each.

Harbin Clinic will host Walk with a Doc on Saturday at 9 a.m. with Dr. Todd Kelley. The walk will begin at Bridgepoin­t Plaza and follow Kingfisher Trail for approximat­ely 2 miles, but walkers have the option of adding more miles or turning around early. Compassion­ate Paws will host Meet and Treat at Ridge Ferry Park, 363 Riverside Parkway, on Oct. 22 from 2-5 p.m. Informatio­n and demonstrat­ions will be available about pet therapy, dog training, pet adoptions and animal care. There will treats for pets and their humans. The event is free and open to the public. Please bring your pets only if they have been vaccinated and are healthy and flea-free.
