The Rotary Club of Rome will host Rick Stevenson and Buster Young to discuss ELOST and Floyd County Schools on Thursday at noon. The club meets at Coosa County Club, 110 Branham Ave.

Northwest Georgia Woodturnin­g Club will meet on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Charles Jennings will be the demonstrat­or.

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office will host a blood drive Friday in memory of Polk County Detective Kristen Hearne. The blood drive will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at 35 West Washington St., Summervill­e. Donors will receive a T-shirt and balloon.

Oak Hill and the Martha Berry Museum will lead historic walking tours of Berry College on Saturday and Nov. 4. The tours will begin behind Hermann Hall and depart at 1 p.m.,2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The tour is two miles at a moderate walking pace. It consists of recently restored historic buildings and will include refreshmen­ts served on the back porch of the Roosevelt Cabin. Tourists are advised to wear comfortabl­e shoes and be prepared

to climb stairs as well as negotiate uneven walkways. Tour admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children. The tour is free for Berry students, faculty, staff and alumni. Garden Lakes Baptist Church Children’s Ministry and Berry College Student Service groups are partnering to provide a free Trunk or Treat Fall Festival on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the church’s side parking lot. The festival will include free games, activities, inflatable­s, candy and a hayride.

The Rome-Floyd NAACP Branch, Unit 5230, will host their annual soul food dinner, auction and raffle on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Meal tickets are $12 each for all-you-can-eat or a takeout plate. Raffle tickets are $3 each or four for $10. Tickets are available

from NAACP members or may be purchased at the door. Three $100 prizes will be awarded during the raffle.

Hospitalit­y House for Women will celebrate 40 years of service to victims and survivors of domestic violence on Monday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Garnett M. Wilder Center, Rome First United Methodist Church, 202 E. Third Ave. Meet the advocates and board of directors and learn more about the organizati­on and recent efforts to combat abuse. Food and drink will be provided. Admission is free.

The Shorter University Department of Social Sciences and Department of Christian Studies will host “Reformatio­n: Then and Now,” a series of 15-minute lectures on the Reformatio­n, from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 31 in Brookes Chapel, Shorter University, 315 Shorter Ave.
