Friday

West Central Elementary will host its Trunk, Treat and Read on Friday from 5-6:30 p.m., at the school, 409 Lavender Drive. Teachers and other school staff will be dressed in their costumes as students and their families go between the decorated car trunks to pick out treats and books.

Saturday

The 53rd annual Chiaha Harvest Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Ridge Ferry Park, with unique arts and crafts from around the region, entertainm­ent, food and kids activities. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students and seniors. It’s $1 for children under 12 but a printable coupon for free admission is available on the Chiaha.org website.

Summervill­e Main Street is hosting a free Community Fall Festival on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Dowdy Park, 119 E. Washington St. in Summervill­e. In addition to games, food and crafts, there will be a homemade costume contest, a pumpkin-carving and decorating contest, and a doggy costume parade and contest.

Garden Lakes Baptist Church, 2200 Redmond Circle, will host a free Trunk or Treat Fall Festival on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Activities include free games, inflatable­s, candy and a hayride.

New Canaan Baptist Church, 3 Excelsior St., will host Trunk or Treat with games, food and fun Saturday from 1-3 p.m.

Woodlawn Baptist Church will host a cornhole tournament and Trunk or Treat with free food and prizes Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Unity School Athletic Field, 2960 New Calhoun Highway. Two-person cornhole teams may register for $10 each. Trunk or treat will follow the tournament.

Sunday

The Refuge Church, 1791 Wax Road in Silver Creek, will host a fall festival Sunday from 3-9 p.m. with free hayrides, inflatable­s, food, games and a cakewalk.

Halloween

The Rome Downtown Developmen­t Authority is inviting children ages 12 and under to Trick or Treat on Broad Street from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at participat­ing businesses.

A free Truck or Treat event sponsored by Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation is set for 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Ridge Ferry Park. There also will be inflatable­s to play on and food trucks on site.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 911 N. Broad St., is holding an All Saints’ vigil Mass on Tuesday at 6 p.m. followed by Trunk or Treat for children.
