Don’t Miss: “American Masters – Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive” — Just in time for Halloween, this new documentar­y vows to tell the “real story” of the notorious author best known for his Gothic horror tales and eerie poem “The Raven.” The film insists that the images of Poe as a drug-addled madman akin to the narrators of his horror stories are mostly fabricated and can be attributed, in large part, to a high-profile obituary filled with falsehoods. Denis O’Hare (“American Horror Story”) stars as Poe and Kathleen Turner narrates. 9 p.m. Monday, PBS.

Sunday: In the Season 1 finale of “The Deuce,” Vincent balks at getting in deeper with Rudy as expansion fever hits Frankie and Bobby. Meanwhile, Candy gets a taste of directing and enjoys the red-carpet perks of a major premiere. 9 p.m., HBO.

Sunday: As Season 5 of “Ray Donovan” wraps up, Ray goes to New York to arrange an illicit surgery that he hopes will save Smitty. Get used to the setting. Next season the show will relocate from Los Angeles to New York. 9 p.m., Showtime.

Monday: Season 2 of “Superior Donuts” returns to the quickly gentrifyin­g Chicago neighborho­od where Arthur and Franco run a small, old-school donut shop. Diane Guerrero joins the cast as a food-truck owner who serves healthy, socially conscious breakfast food. 9 p.m., CBS.

Tuesday: On “This Is Us,” trick-or-treating with the 10-year-olds goes awry for Jack and Rebecca. Also, Randall, Kevin and Kate experience lifechangi­ng Halloweens. 9 p.m., NBC. Wednesday: For its second season, “Stan Against Evil” returns to the quaint town of Willard’s Mill and promises more demons, witches and twisted humor. In the first of back-to-back episodes, Stan meets the descendant­s of a Wiccan coven. 10 p.m., IFC.

Thursday: When the new season of “Mom” begins, Bonnie gets cold feet when contemplat­ing her future with Adam, and Christy risks failing an important test in order to help a fellow alcoholic. 9 p.m., CBS.

Thursday: Shemar Moore, who starred in “Criminal Minds” for 11 seasons, returns to prime time as the leading man in “S.W.A.T.” It’s a reboot of the 1970s drama series about a specialize­d lawenforce­ment tactical unit. 10 p.m., CBS.

Saturday: Don’t look now, but the onslaught of holiday-themed TV movies has begun. In “Christmas Festival of Ice,” a woman’s desire to bring back an icesculptu­re contest to her hometown opens the door to a potential new romance. 8 p.m., Hallmark.
