Re­port: Rome woman punched, threat­ened to shoot man

A 56-year-old Rome woman ac­cused of punch­ing a man was in jail with­out bond Sun­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to Floyd County Jail records:

Pa­tri­cia Ann Spray­berry, 56, of 67 Harold Drive, was ar­rested early Sun­day at a house in Sil­ver Creek by Floyd County po­lice and charged with mis­de­meanor sim­ple bat­tery and felony ter­ror­is­tic threats.

Spray­berry is ac­cused of punch­ing a 49-year-old man in the face and threat­en­ing to shoot him.

A story that be­gan cir­cu­lat­ing last week falsely claims Phil­a­del­phia po­lice of­fi­cers as­signed to es­cort­ing the team took a knee in­stead and left the team on its own. A photo ac­com­pa­ny­ing the story is ac­tu­ally a Phil­a­del­phia Inquirer pic­ture of a city of­fi­cer danc­ing at a pa­rade. Po­lice tell the AP the story is “fake.”
