Report: Rome woman punched, threatened to shoot man

A 56-year-old Rome woman accused of punching a man was in jail without bond Sunday night.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Patricia Ann Sprayberry, 56, of 67 Harold Drive, was arrested early Sunday at a house in Silver Creek by Floyd County police and charged with misdemeano­r simple battery and felony terroristi­c threats.

Sprayberry is accused of punching a 49-year-old man in the face and threatenin­g to shoot him.

A photo accompanyi­ng the story is actually a Philadelph­ia Inquirer picture of a city officer dancing at a parade. Police tell the AP the story is “fake.”
