Oak Hill and the Martha Berry

Museum will lead historic walking tours of Berry College on Saturday. The tours will begin behind Hermann Hall and will depart at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The tour is 2 miles at a moderate walking pace. It consists of recently restored historic buildings and will include refreshmen­ts served on the back porch of the Roosevelt Cabin. Tourists are advised to wear comfortabl­e shoes and be prepared to climb stairs as well as negotiate uneven walkways. Tour admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children. The tour is free for Berry students, faculty, staff and alumni. Interested parties may pre-register by calling 706368-6705 or by sending an email to rmclucas@berry.edu. Space is limited.

The Summervill­e Renaissanc­e Festival will be held Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission is free. Activities include live entertainm­ent, shopping, art, games and food. Renaissanc­e Performers from Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina will be participat­ing on five different stages. Over 37 live musical and special acts are scheduled throughout the day. Ball will be hosted at Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church, 735 Old Summervill­e Road, on Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. The ball is a semi-formal for individual­s with special needs ages sixth grade and up.
