Couple stab each other during fight

A Lindale man and woman were arrested Friday after being accused of stabbing each other in the arm with a knife during a fight at their home Friday.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Kenneth David Wright Jr., 36, and Sherilyn Elaine Wright, 32, both of 320 Avenue C, Lindale, are each charged with felony aggravated assault. Both had to be taken for medical treatment, according to a warrant for their arrests. The man was arrested at 504 Turner McCall Blvd. and the woman was arrested at Floyd Medical Center.

Both were released from jail Saturday morning. The man posted a $5,700 bond and the woman posted a $11,200 bond.

Officers from the RomeFloyd County Metro Task Force had executed a search warrant at his home recovered marijuana, methamphet­amine, a Schedule I synthetic drug, ecstasy, heroin, undisclose­d drug-related objects and a handgun.

Additional­ly, officers found a fake $100 bill while carrying out the search warrant.

He also is charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession of methamphet­amine, possession of a Schedule I or Schedule II substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule I substance, possession of a Schedule II substance, possession of a synthetic substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He also faces a misdemeano­r charge of possession of drug-related objects.

He was released from jail Saturday morning on a $16,700 bond.
