Silver Creek United Methodist Church, 36 Reeceburg Road, Silver Creek, will be a collection point for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse which collects shoe boxes filled with gifts for children and distributes them around the world. The final collection date is today from 10 a.m.noon.

Bosom Buddies, a breast cancer support group, will meet today from 6-7:30 p.m. in the downstairs classroom at Redmond Regional Medical Center, 501 Redmond Road. Harbin Clinic oncologist Dr. Melissa Dillmon will be the guest speaker.

PAWS, 99 North Ave., waiving adoption fees through Dec. 15 with donation of a new, unwrapped children’s toy. Donations of toys without adoption also will be accepted. Adoptive families will still be responsible for spay or neuter and vaccination costs.
