Capt. Larry E. Bray,

83, of Rome, died Dec. 27, 2017. John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Richard Barron Cook,

66, of Shannon, died Dec. 22, 2017. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.

Esther Miller Kimbrell,

90, died Dec. 28, 2017. Daniel’s Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. the American Legion McClain & Sealock Post 136 in Lindale and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring.

Besides his parents, Mr. Bray was preceded in death by a son, Ty Harrison Bray, August 2, 2002.

Mr. Bray is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Jean Futral, to whom he was married November 14, 1970; and by his children, Joan (Grover) Holmes, Robin Bray McFalls, Melissa (Richard) Gould, Tim Forbes, Larry Bray Jr., Tommie (Paul) Mack, and Robert (Norma) Bray.

A number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. Bray will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel with Dr. John Paige officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
