The Exchange Club of Rome will host an exhibit honoring the military TuesdayFri­day (Jan. 15-19) for the 100th anniversar­y of America’s involvemen­t in World War I and the 96th anniversar­y of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The exhibit includes a detailed replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, military collectibl­es from World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and the Georgia Wall of Honor. The exhibit will be at The Palladium at the Coosa Valley Fairground­s. Admission and parking are free, and the exhibit is open daily from 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m.

Rome’s Own Gospel Choir and Northwest

Georgia Winds will perform a concert titled “Lift Every Voice” at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 at the Rome City Auditorium. Admission is free. The concert will celebrate unity and togetherne­ss for Black History Month.

will accept applicatio­ns for the Georgia Lottery PreKinderg­arten Program

for the upcoming 2018-19 school year from Jan. 30

through Feb. 9 during regular school hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applicatio­ns may be picked up and returned to the following: Alto Park Elementary, Cave Spring Elementary, Garden Lakes Elementary, Glenwood Primary, Johnson Elementary, McHenry Primary, Model Elementary and Pepperell Primary. The guidelines to apply are: Proof of residence, one applicatio­n per child, apply in the attendance area of the school in which you reside, and child must turn 4 years old before Sept. 1.
