The Coosa High team won the Floyd County Schools Academic Decathalon held Jan. 11 at the Board of Education central office.

The Coosa High team will automatica­lly advance and represent Floyd County Schools in the state competitio­n in February. The academic decathlon features three divisions of competitio­n: honors, scholastic and varsity. The academic contest includes questions in: literature, math, economics, social science, science, music and art. Team winners 1st - Coosa High (CHS) 2nd - Pepperell High (PHS)

3rd - Armuchee High (AHS)

4th - Model High (MHS)

First place overall (individual winners)
