Rome woman charged with possession of meth, marijuana

A Rome man allegedly found with cocaine and synthetic marijuana during a traffic stop was in jail without bond Wednesday night.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Arthur Tremaine Adams, 45, of 139 E. 14th St., was pulled over Tuesday just before 10 p.m. in the 1900 block of Maple Street. Officers determined he was driving on a suspended license then discovered quantities of synthetic marijuana and cocaine inside the vehicle.

Adams was charged with felony possession of synthetic marijuana and cocaine along with misdemeano­r driving on a suspended license.

A Rome woman arrested after a traffic stop was in jail without bond on felony drug charges Wednesday night.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Laurie Anne Bray, 40, of 605 1/2 Walnut Ave., was stopped on Shorter Avenue at Marigold Road for driving without headlights at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday.

A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana stashed under the driver’s seat and a glass pipe with suspected methamphet­amine under the front passenger seat.

Bray was charged with felony possession of meth. She’s also facing misdemeano­r charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and five different traffic violations.. Doug Walker, associate editor
