Elizabeth Rose Van Hoff

Mrs. Elizabeth Rose Van Hoff, age 87, of Rome, passed away at a health care facility in Cedartown, Ga. on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

Arrangemen­ts are incomplete at this time and will be announced later by Daniel’s Funeral Home.

Daniel’s Funeral Home has charge of the arrangemen­ts. Home with the Rev. Max Tucker officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave., Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearer­s include the following gentlemen, who are asked to meet at funeral home on Wednesday by 1:30 p.m.: Gary Padgett, Steve Guthrie, Cory Atkins, Ray Rosser Shane Atkins, Dylan Akins, Jim Kelly, and Joseph Grigsby.

Honorary pallbearer­s will be Kyle Rush and Jason Rush.

Diane Welch Brandon Phillips, age 58, of Rome, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018.

Diane was born November 23, 1959 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Sam Garner Welch and Loida Faye Terry Welch.

Survivors include a daughter, Patches Rich; brothers, Otis Steve Welch, David Welch; sister, Karen Gilreath; grandchild­ren, Alexis, Lejend, and Jayden; aunt, Grace Terry; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Vasser and Randy Brandon officiatin­g. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until the hour of the service on Wednesday.

Mr. Bobby Ray Haynes, age 83, of Lindale, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, in a local hospital.

Mr. Haynes was born in Calhoun County, Ala. on January 18, 1935, son of the late Joseph Wesley Haynes and the late Sally Lou Sanders Haynes. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Avaline Boyd, Mildred Mitchell, and Audrey Henson, and by three brothers, Joe, John, and Milton Haynes. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Haynes was employed with Profile Extrusion here in Rome for over 31 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, the former Johnette Justice, to whom he was married on April 6, 1989; three sons, Ray Haynes, Rome, Wesley Allen Haynes, Rome, and David Wayne Haynes, and his wife, Sharon, Iron City, Ala.; two step-daughters, Darlene Stansell Sullins, and her husband, Robbie, Silver Creek, and Kim Russell, and her husband, Chyanne, Rome; a sister, Dorothy Walker, Eastaboga, Ala.; special friends, Hugo and Iris Veliz, and their children, Melvin and Bianca, Lindale; 13 grandchild­ren, five greatgrand­children, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Chyanne Russell officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour. At other times, they may be contacted at the residence.

Pallbearer­s will include the following gentlemen: Ray Haynes, Allen Haynes, Kiefer Collum, Sam Russell, Cal Russell, Hugo Veliz, Jeremy Haynes, Melvin Veliz, and Tony Amos.
