Task force raids Lindale home, man facing felony drug charges

A Lindale man was being held without bond on numerous drug charges Wednesday after Rome Floyd Metro Task Force officers executed a search warrant at his home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Dale Lamar Sartin, 57, of 165 Miller Mountain Road, was arrested early Wednesday at his home with drugs and a scale.

He’s facing felony charges of possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs and misdemeano­r possession of a drug-related object.

Sartin also is charged with a probation violation. late Monday night, kicking her, pulling on the wrist he had broken several weeks earlier and locking her out of the house barefoot and without a coat.

The woman, who reported the attack the next day, had bruises under her eye, on her chin and on her thigh, swollen lips and a red nose that a doctor later said was broken.

In addition to the aggravated stalking charge, Mayes is facing misdemeano­r counts of battery and reckless conduct.

Stocks was being held in the Floyd County Jail on Wednesday with a $6,500 bond.
