Elizabeth W. Dixon

Mrs. Elizabeth W. Dixon, age 82, of Rome, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at a local hospital following a sudden illness.

Home going services for Mrs. Elizabeth Dixon will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Thankful Baptist Church, 935 Spider Webb Dr., Rome, Georgia, with the Reverend Terrell Shields giving the eulogy and Pastor H. Bernard Young presiding. Mrs. Dixon will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Interment will follow at the Floyd Memorial Garden Rome, Georgia.

There will be a wake from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Wright Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 814 South Broad Street, Rome, Georgia.

Mrs. Viola Omega Willerson, age 92, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Willerson was born in Murray County, Georgia on December 5, 1925, daughter of the late John Cagle and the late Ora Elrod Cagle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Willerson, to whom she was married on March 3, 1943; by her son, David Willerson; and by two brothers and four sisters. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Glenda White (John), Patsy House, and Nancy Bain, all of Rome; three sons, Eddie Willerson and Michael Willerson (Sheree), both of Rome, and Johnny Willerson (Mary Ann), of Cartersvil­le; several grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, and great-great-grandchild­ren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel. The Rev. Frank Sierra will officiate. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other hours, the family may be contacted at the residence.

Pallbearer­s serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. and include David Willerson, Keith Fuller, Jonathon Earwood, Austin McCain, Dakota Chaffin, Randy Reed, Kevin Cooper, and Cody Wheeler.

Mr. Charles Andrew Swanson, age 83, of Silver Creek, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Rev. David Harper officiatin­g and his granddaugh­ter, Sydney Parris, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard presenting military honors.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. At other hours, the family will be at the residence.
