The Georgia Mountain

Music Club will meet Wednesday at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Road, from 10 a.m.-noon. The meeting is free and open to the public.

Rome City Schools will host a Black History Month

production from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Rome City Auditorium, 601 Broad St. The production is open to the public free of charge. Students and faculty will showcase black excellence by performing musical numbers, staging re-enactments and reading poetry that highlights African-American moguls, movies and music.

Woodturnin­g Club will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Paul Coley will demonstrat­e how to make a pipe. The meeting is free and open to the public.

The Rotary Club of

Rome will host Rome dentist Dr. Hunter Edwards to discuss a mission trip to Africa on Thursday at noon at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave.

The Animal Rescue

Foundation will be sponsoring their sixth annual SPAYghetti dinner Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the American Legion, 5 Shorter Ave. The menu will include spaghetti, salad, bread, iced tea and an ice cream sundae bar. Children’s activities include face painting, movies, games and other activities. Adult ticket prices are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Tickets for children 3-10 cost $5. Tickets will be sold in advance at West Rome Animal Clinic, Peggy’s Back Yard, Wet Petz and Sue’s Barber Shop. Tickets will also be available at the door or by calling 706-622-1098.

Unity Christian School will host an open house for preschool-12th grade on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will learn more about the school, tour the campus and meet the teachers.

The Exchange Club of

Rome will present Al Hodge and the Star Students at their meeting on Friday at noon at the Palladium, Coosa Valley Fairground­s, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The club meets every Friday. For informatio­n call 706-506-2499.
