Traffic stop at Ga. 293, Bypass leads to 4 arrests
Four people were arrested Thursday night on drugs charges following a traffic stop near the intersection of Ga. 293 and the Bypass. According to jail reports: Kimberly Deon Ingram, 41, of 228 Old Freeman Ferry Road; Christopher Aaron Godfrey, 34, of 306 Woodward St.; Michael Lee Ingle, 33, of 232 Old Freeman Ferry Road; and Beverly Grace Rogers, 58, 1796 Turner Chapel Road, were arrested around 7:21 p.m. Thursday.
They were all in a truck that did not have a tag being driven by Ingle. It was pulled over by police just after 6 p.m. Police found bags of methamphetamine, marijuana and a glass pipe with meth residue.
They are all charged with felony possession of meth. Rogers and Ingram were additionally charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Godfrey was also charged with possession of drug-related objects and Ingle was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle.
Rogers is also charged with felony sale, distribution or possession of dangerous drugs and crossing county guard lines with drugs without consent — she crossed the guard line at the jail with marijuana. She is also charged with drugs not in original container by having two gabapentin pills.
Ingram and Ingle were being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond. Godfrey and Rogers were each being held Friday night pending a $5,700 bond.
