Rome Chapter 95 of Disabled American Veterans will be having their monthly meeting on Monday with a free dinner at 5 p.m. The meeting will follow at 6 p.m. at Brookdale Senior Living Center, 180 Woodrow Wilson Way. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Music Club will have an instrument­al jam session every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. NAMI Rome will hold its annual meeting Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Rome First United Methodist Church, 202 E. Third Street. The Floyd County Board of Commission­ers will host a discussion with local healthcare providers on opioids on Monday at noon in the Community Room, County Administra­tion Building, 12 E. Fourth Ave. The meetings are open to the public.

MULTIDAY EVENTS

Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley is accepting applicatio­ns for the “A Brush with Kindness” program. The program assists homeowners in Floyd County by painting and performing minor repairs on the exterior of their homes. The homeowner repays the cost of the materials and supplies through a no-interest loan. Applicatio­ns may be picked up at the ReStore, 95 Three Rivers Drive. There is a $10 fee for a background check. Homeowners will be required to make a 10 percent down payment on the estimated cost of the project.

Floyd County Juvenile

Court is seeking volunteers to serve as Citizen Review Panel members. After the initial two-day training, this is a once-a-month commitment. Volunteers will meet families with whom DFCS is involved. The parties go over the case plans to make recommenda­tions to the judge. For more informatio­n or to volunteer, contact Kimberly Barackman at 706-290-6097.
