Athletes will hold its 15th FCA Home Team Celebration on Thursday at the Forum River Center, 301 Tribune St. University of Georgia Football Chaplain Thomas Settles will be the featured speaker. This event creates awareness of ministry outreach and raises funds to support salaries, programs and activities associated with the FCA Rome Area. An Affair to Remember: The Blues will take place March 9 at the Rome Civic Center from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. There will be food, fellowship and live blues instrumental and vocal

A Benefit Soccer Tournament

for Jamie Strong will be held March 9 at Grizzard Park. The cost is $20 per player. U10 and U12 registration will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and kick-off at 5:45 p.m. U14 and U16 registration will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and kick-off at 7:15 p.m. Teams will be divided up as soon as registration closes. Each team should play at least two 25-minute games. All the proceeds will go to Jamie Hughes’ family to cover medical expenses. All participants will receive “Jamie Strong” T-shirts.
