Floyd County CASA will hold a CASA 101 volunteer informatio­n session on Tuesday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Oostanaula Room at the Rome-Floyd County Library, 205 Riverside Parkway. The session will include informatio­n about the applicatio­n process, the training and the case support provided to each volunteer. A Benefit Soccer Tournament for Jamie

Strong will be held Friday at Grizzard Park. The cost is $20 per player. U10 and U12 registrati­on will be from 5 to 5:30 p.m. and kickoff at 5:45 p.m. U14 and U16 registrati­on will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and kickoff at 7:15 p.m. Teams will be divided up as soon as registrati­on closes. All

the proceeds will go to Jamie Hughes’ family to cover medical expenses. All participan­ts will receive “Jamie Strong” T-shirts. Volunteers are needed. For more informatio­n call Lucas Levesque at 207-841-0305.

Floyd County Juvenile Court is

seeking volunteers to serve as Citizen Review Panel members. After the initial two-day training, this is a once-a-month commitment. Volunteers will meet families with whom the Division of Family and Children Services is involved. The parties go over the case plans to measure progress and make recommenda­tions to the judge.
