Welcome to Rome High School

- Love, Dr. Eric L. Holland

Family,

During my first school year as Principal of Rome High School, I have been energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students. We have accomplished so much by setting a high academic expectation for all of our students and providing them with a support system to assure academic and personal success. It has been imperative for these support systems to be vertically aligned and Rome City Schools has proven to be a school system, not a system of schools. By engaging the community and setting high standards for our teachers to perform and increased academic expectations for all students, we have made it our goal for all Rome High School graduates to be college and career ready. Rome High School has many exciting and outstanding academic programs. There is a variety of academic offerings including College Preparatory classes and Advanced Content courses as well as Career Pathways led by excellent educators. The Rome High School Fine Arts Department offers courses to support the students’ love of the arts and extend their skills in many areas under the direction of magnificent teachers. In addition, the Rome High School athletic program’s outstanding coaches and support staff are always striving for success, and allows students the opportunity to patriciate in many sports on campus. In the following pages, we hope to showcase some of the great achievements we have made so far this year! As we embrace the challenges of the future, we will continue to cherish and celebrate the Rome High School traditions of the past. With an outstanding faculty and staff, involved parents and community members, and committed students we will continue to have a successful year. Here at Rome High School, we don’t fail. We either succeed or we learn, and together we will be 1Rome.
