The Greater Rome Society for Human Resource Management will meet at Hawthorn Suites, 100 W. Second Ave., today from 11:30 a.m.1 p.m. The topic will be “Becoming a Person of Influence.”

The Boys from Tubize/Celanese will meet for breakfast on today at 8:30 a.m. at the Landmark Restaurant, Martha Berry Highway.

The Floyd County Young Farmers will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Selman’s Country Store, 4512 Martha Berry Highway. Attendees will be learning about agricultur­al trailer safety and trailering livestock, hay and equipment correctly. Food will be provided. All ages are welcome to join. Third Street Ministries will be giving away clothing to homeless and low-income residents of Floyd County on today in the parking lot of Rome First United Methodist Church, 202 E. First Ave., from 2-4 p.m.

All blood types are needed. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identifica­tion are required at check-in.

One Community United will have their quarterly meeting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Kelsey-Aycock-Burrell Center. They will discuss updates on upcoming events. All are welcome to attend. Food will be served. For details call Cheryl Jenkins at 706-676-1177.

The Seven Hills Shaggers dance club will meet in the Red Room, Johnny’s New York Style Pizza on

Thursday. Members get in free, but guests and visitors are welcome with $5 cover. Music will start at 7 p.m.

The Lochs and Hills Celtic

Associatio­n will host Pot Luck o’ the Irish on March 17 at 6 p.m. at Georgia Highlands College Heritage Hall, 415 Third Ave. Parking will be in the rear of the building off Fourth Avenue. There will be live music by the Ceilidh Celtic Ensemble, and the Rome Drake School of Irish Dancers and Anna

Mount Berry Mall will host Color for a Cause, a live mural-coloring contest, on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. During the event, participat­ing organizati­ons will be provided a mural and given two hours to color. Throughout the evening, shoppers will be able to participat­e by showing their receipt to earn a point for a participat­ing organizati­on. Color for a Cause will donate $1 for each point earned and the organizati­on with the most points will receive an additional prize donation.
