Cellphone taken from vehicle

A Galaxy Note 8 was stolen from a man’s unlocked vehicle while he was visiting his mother on Iron Street Saturday night. According to Rome police reports: The cellphone is valued at $1,400. The theft happened around 9 p.m. when the owner stepped outside to see a man open his car door, grab his cellphone and run toward Martha Berry Boulevard on Iron Street.
