The Dixie Stompers will hold their 14th annual 1950s dance for

the American Cancer Society on Friday from 7-10 p.m. at the Thornton Center. The Fabulous Duke Edwards along with his wife Mary Edwards will be performing favorite ’50s tunes including tributes to Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline. Admission is $8 a person. Pre-registrati­on ends on Friday for the 2018 Leprechaun-a-thon glow run 5K race which will be held on

Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Runners and walkers should wear green for a chance to win prizes at the pre-race costume contest. To register and for more informatio­n visit rfpra.com/leprechaun­a-thon. Preregistr­ation is $25 for the 5K and $20 for the walk. Kids ages 12 and younger and groups of 10 or more can register for $20 each by visiting the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation administra­tion office, 1 Shorter Ave. The race is sponsored by Harbin Clinic.

WelshFest 2018 will be held in Rockmart on Saturday from 9 a.m.5 p.m. Admission is free.
