The Floyd-Rome Retired Educators Associatio­n will meet at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Charles C. Senior Gospel Singers

The Georgia Mountain

Music Club will have an instrument­al jam session every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center. Musicians are asked to bring non-electrical instrument­s such as guitars, fiddles, banjos, harmonicas, upright bass or mandolin. Visitors are welcome. Admission is free. Rome Seven Hills Rotary will host Rome Community Kitchen’s Drew Taylor at noon on Tuesday at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave.

The Rome Art Coterie will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Oostanaula Room at the library, 205 Riverside Parkway. Rome artist Laura Woford will present a program on the art of calligraph­y. The 1959 graduating classes of East Rome and West Rome High Schools will meet for lunch on Tuesday at noon at O’Charley’s. Graduates, spouses and friends of classmates are invited. Rome will host Georgia BackRoads magazine’s Dan Roper on Thursday at noon at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave. Roper will be presenting “The Rest of the Story.”

The Rome African Violet Study Group will meet Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Rome Federated Garden Center, 100 E. Eighth St. The program will be on growing African Violets under LED lights followed by play in the dirt.
