will host the annual Georgia Laws of Life Essay awards luncheon at noon Tuesday at Coosa Country Club, 110 Branham Ave. The contest is a statewide essay contest for high school students sponsored by Georgia Rotary Clubs. Students select a Law of Life, a wise saying or quote, and write an essay on how it applies to their lives. Guests are welcome.

The Georgia Mountain Music Club meets Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Charles C. Parker Senior Center, 1325 Kingston Highway. Members and guests perform bluegrass, country and gospel music.
