John Lee Garrett
Mr. John Lee Garrett, age 85, of Rome, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018, at a local hospital.
Mr. Garrett was born in Spring Creek, Georgia on November 18, 1932, son of the late John Lonely Garrett and the late Ethel Lois Jones Garrett. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle Garrett and Sherman Garrett, and by two sisters, Charlotte Hudgins and Amanda Bryant. Mr. Garrett was a member of the Pipefitters Local #190 for 45 years and worked for several years at Lockheed Martin. He was of the Church of Christ faith and was an avid hobby fisherman. Mr. Garrett was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was loved by all of his family and friends. His presence and warmth will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his wife, Patty Sue Poole Garrett, to whom he was married on March 27, 1950; two daughters, Barbara Gail Cohenour and her husband, Butch, Coosa, and Brenda Sue Lloyd and her husband, Paul, Suffolk, Va.; four sons, John Lamar Garrett and his wife, Nancy, Rome, Charles Andrew Garrett and his wife, Jan, Lindale, Darrell Dewayne Garrett and his wife, Angie, Huntingtown, Md., and Nathan Allen Garrett, Rome; 14 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; two greatgreat grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Minister Ralph Wallin officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and include Sherman Wright, Shane Wright, Nathan Garrett, Steven Garrett, Shawn Garrett, and Dillian Garrett.

Gerald Alvin Hall
Mr. Gerald Alvin Hall, age 82, of Silver Creek, passed away Monday evening, April 23, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Hall was born in Rome, Ga. on September 25, 1935, son of the late George William Hall and the late Annis Dorsett Hall. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Faye Abernathy Hall, by two sisters, Frances Beck and Wynette Clements, and by two brothers, Teddy Lee Hall and Ralph William Hall. A self-employed brick and block mason, Mr. Hall owned and operated Gerald Hall Masonry for many years. An avid fisherman, he competed in bass fishing tournaments locally and across the Southeast. Mr. Hall was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Hall Law, Rome; his son, Kenneth Hall, Silver Creek; his grandson, Charles Griffin Law, Rome; a sister, Delores Hall, New Jersey; three brothers, Bobby Hall, Cedartown, Lonnie Hall, Silver Creek, and Clayton Hall, Sand Rock, Ala.; his close friend and fishing partner, John Morris, Aragon; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Jerald Eaves and the Rev. Justin Grant officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Amie Genevieve LeCroy, age 46, of Lindale, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at a local hospital.
Mrs. LeCroy was born in Rome, Georgia on February 3, 1972, daughter of Dianne Pledger Williams Smith and the late Gary Eugene Williams. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Second Avenue Baptist Church. Amie loved helping rescue animals.
Survivors include her husband, Jeremy Dean LeCroy, to whom she was married on March 17, 1996; a daughter, Bethanie Kayla Watson and her fiancé, Scott McKeown, Rome; a son, Dalton Ryan LeCroy, Lindale; a granddaughter, Edith Delaney McKeown; her mother, Dianne Smith, Rome; two brothers, Charles McCray Williams, and his wife, Christa, Cave Spring, and Barry Wyatt Williams, and his wife, Melanie, Bremen; a brother-inlaw, Jason LeCroy, Rome; nieces & nephews, Jessica Coley, Chase Williams, Colby Williams, India Williams, and Alix Williams; great niece & nephews, Connor Hardgree, Aria Hardgree, and Ezra Gilmore; other relatives and friends also survive.
A celebration of Amie’s life will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Members of the family will be speaking.
