ARMUCHEE GRAD SPEAKS AT UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION’S 2018 CONVOCATION:
Emily Wallace, a 2014 graduate of Armuchee High School, delivers the student address at the University of Georgia College of Education’s 2018 Convocation on May 3. Emily is graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Upon graduation, Emily will immediately return to the University of Georgia where she has been accepted into the Graduate Program to complete a Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Emily is the daughter of Mark and Renee Wallace of Armuchee.
COOSA VALLEY FAIR ASSOCIATION MAKES ITS ANNUAL DONATION TO FLOYD COUNTY SCHOOLS ART DEPARTMENTS:
At last week’s Floyd County Board of Education meeting, past President and current Secretary of the Coosa Valley Fair Association Bryan Shealy presented a check for $1,900 to Floyd County Schools. This donation is used in the art departments of all 19 Floyd County Schools. “This is just one of the many ways proceeds from the Coosa Valley Fair are put back into our community,” says current Coosa Valley Fair Association President Barbara Carter.
