A Rome man remained in jail without bond Saturday night after being accused of firing a Bulldog .44-caliber revolver at a man three times and fighting with several others.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Justin Lawayne Culberson, 29, of 203 Kingston Ave., was arrested around 4:21 p.m. Thursday. He is charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault. He is also charged with misdemeano­r battery, simple assault, simple battery, disorderly conduct and pointing a gun at another.

The fight happened at an Old Airport Road home in the 100 block. He attacked several people with a screwdrive­r before picking up the revolver and firing at a man. He then fought with that man’s cousins, striking one of them in the jaw. The man Culberson was shooting at sustained cuts from the attack.

A Rome man was arrested early Saturday on several drug charges after police found him in possession of a hydrocodon­e pill, marijuana and a glass pipe with crack cocaine residue inside it.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Cedric Orin Mills, 59, of 615 Graham St., was arrested around 4:18 a.m. He is charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. He is also charged with misdemeano­r possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and failure to appear.

He was found with the drugs in the area of 1200 Martha Berry Blvd.

He was released from jail Saturday on a $5,700 bond.

A Rome man remained in jail without bond Saturday night after being accused of having a glass pipe with methamphet­amine inside it within a backpack he was carrying.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Joshua Dewayne Smith, 28, of 43 King Bee Circle, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. Friday. He is charged with felony possession of meth and misdemeano­r possession and use of drugrelate­d objects.

Police found the pipe on Smith in the area of 1013 N. Fifth Ave.
